The Coast is Clear

13th July to 10th August 2019 Summer comes to the Byre Gallery with The Coast is Clear. Siobhan Purdy returns with a stunning new collection of work created especially for the exhibition and inspired by her love for - and memories of - the Cornish seaside.

Susan Kinley is a glass artist whose work I've admired for a number of years. She uses fragments of photography mixed with glass powders before kiln firing to produce her very distinctive wall mounted work; I'm delighted to welcome her to the gallery.

I'm also pleased to welcome back ceramicists Lucy Burley, Kathryn Sherriff, Chris Taylor, and Jessica Thorn; glass artist Cat MacKenzie and jewellers Corrinne Eira Evans and Amy Stringer.
