Helen Eastham

Helen specialises in creating sculptural kiln formed glass vessels, which have a strong contemporary, stylised aesthetic.  Born and brought up in Cornwall on the coast, her shapes, forms and designs are influenced by emotional connections to time and place.  The shoreline, intertidal zones and the coast-path have been the source of inspiration in recent designs.  Taking photographs, drawing, disassembling and reinterpreting the design elements results in abstracted artforms which hold a sense of place allowing her to bring the outdoors indoors.
