How you can buy beautiful art and craft and how we get it to your home

If you’re not able to visit our Cornwall gallery you can buy securely on our website. With the click of a button a new piece of art or craft can be yours. Depending on the item you’ve selected we’ll either post it, courier it or deliver it via an art courier - see below for shipping rates. We will communicate with you along the way to notify you of a delivery time slot and a tracking number where relevant. 

You can also collect from us in the gallery and we’re happy to offer free local delivery to PL10 and PL11 addresses - or further afield by arrangement. 

We do ship internationally and amongst many other destinations have successfully sent glass sculptures to Spain, ceramics to Canada and paintings to all parts of the USA - please get in touch before you buy to arrange what will work best for you. 

UK post and packing costs

Small items (jewellery/scarves/utensils) – £8 (Royal Mail Special Delivery)

Paintings up 30x30cm, medium ceramics/glass (up to 3kg) – £12 (courier service eg Parcel Force, DHL or UPS)

Paintings up 60x60cm, larger ceramics/glass (up to 5kg)- £20 (courier service eg Parcel Force, DHL or UPS)

Paintings up to 100x100cm, substantial ceramics/glass (above 5kg) - £50 (either courier or specialist art courier)

Paintings over £100x100cm - please get in touch for a precise quote but this will be in the region of £80-£100 for most of England and Wales; Scotland will be £100+

We aim to dispatch pieces within four working days. If you need a piece for a particular date, please do get in touch before ordering to ensure we can accommodate.

Purchased work will be sent out as soon as possible. Small works will generally be despatched within a few days whilst larger paintings may take up to two weeks depending on the courier’s schedule.

Not sure it will work in your home?

We are always happy to send further information and images of each piece of craft, jewellery or painting (e.g. a painting on a different coloured wall, the jewellery being worn, further dimensions etc.) If you’d like to see how a painting might work on your wall, please send us a photograph and we’ll do the photoshop magic.

Payments 

You can checkout using Apple Pay or PayPal which accepts all major credit cards, including Amex, or use your PayPal account if you have one. We can also text or email you a secure link to pay by card.

If you’d prefer to pay by direct transfer, please get in touch and we’ll supply you with our BACS details for you to make payment outside of the website.

Own Art

You can also purchase any painting or piece of craft (over £100) at the Byre Gallery via Own Art www.ownart.org.uk - the national initiative that makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by providing interest-free credit for the purchase of original work.
