Our exhibition for summer 2015, 'The Ripple Effect' is now open at the Byre Gallery. Some stunning new work in glass, ceramics, metal and textiles from some of our favourite makers and some new discoveries who are showing in a Cornwall gallery for the first time.

More maker success. I'm so pleased to share that Ruth Shelley - whose wonderful glass work can be seen at The Byre - has had three pieces selected for the highly prestigious British Glass Biennale which opens in Stourbridge at the end of this month. Ruth is one of just 76 finalists for this internationally acclaimed event. I'm rather proud that one of her pieces to be selected is Stormy Seas which was exhibited at The Byre last year. If you are in the Midlands between the 28 May and the end of June, do try to get along, it promises to be a stunning event.

Scottish ceramicist, Moyra Stewart, whose stunning naked raku work is such a feature of our exhibition 'Standing on Ceremony' has been awarded Maker of the Year and given a gold award by Craft and Design Magazine. A wonderful and well-deserved achievement.
