Summer at the Byre Gallery promises a host of delights with ceramics, glass, jewellery and paintings to suit all tastes. From the end of May, we have three stunning new exhibitions featuring work of new and returning artists and makers - there is so much to fall in love with and we hope you can join us.
We start with A Passing Glance from 28th May which features paintings by Philip Lyons, (see below) whose work we're showing for the first time along with fellow Falmouth based artist Steven Buckler who is making a welcome return. Byre Gallery regular glass artist Ruth Shelley has created some stunning new pieces; and we're delighted to welcome ceramicist Dawn Hajitoffi with a wonderful collection of her work.

From 2nd July it's all change as we welcome Sea Level an exhibition featuring paintings from six female artists, all based in the south west, and all inspired by the sea and the coast; together with some beautiful works in ceramics, including a welcome return by Judy McKenzie (see below) as well as glass and jewellery.

Their wonderful new collections will be complemented by ceramics from Michele Bianco, making a welcome return, and by a ceramicist new to the gallery, Emily-Kirstie Wilson, along with glass by Benjamin Lintell, and as ever jewellery by some of our favourite makers.
We'll share more soon on the delights of summer 2022 at the Byre.
