Phil is inspired by the coast; his pewter homewares are hand cast from shells he finds on beach combing trips to Cornwall, New England and the Mediterranean. Phil carefully selects each shell for its unique qualities and using a low-tech and traditional pewter casting process he turns the shells into works of art. For each piece Phil hand pours molten pewter into handmade rubber moulds. The piece is then finished by hand and polished to a warm lustrous glow.
