Teresa Dunne - handwoven scarf - Cawsand

Tax included.

Inspired by the paintings of Jill Hudson and Imogen Bone of the Rame Peninsula at its best, this scarf has been hand woven on Teresa's preloved floor loom in her garden studio overlooking the North Cornwall coastline.

Made from 100% lambswool the intricate weave structure provides texture throughout. This scarf is beautifully light yet warm for those cooler days.

It measures 174 cms x 40 cms plus twisted ends. This is a one-off piece.

Teresa Dunne is a hand weaver and textile designer based in North Cornwall, and it is in this rugged and often windswept landscape that she creates her colourful, hand woven cloth.  Her studio overlooks the cliffs and sea and this is a constant reminder of the inspiration that surrounds me.  Teresa finds the creative process - from choosing the colours, working out the measurements, warping, dressing the loom, weaving and finishing - very therapeutic. She likes to work organically adding random bursts of shocking pink next to a burnt orange to create added interest, or adds a natural oatmeal with a mustard yellow to soften the colours; because of this each piece she makes is unique.
