For Cornwall artist Kerry, paint has always been the hero: the alchemy of mixing, pouring, mark making and rubbing away has made the paint itself, and the process of painting, integral to her creative expression. Kerry’s recent work continues to deal with the landmarks and horizons she encounters everyday near her north Cornwall home. A keen sea swimmer, Kerry enjoys viewing the coastline from a different perspective: “when you’re in the water your relationship to the coast path is naturally very different from walking it; viewing it from the water increases the intimacy and makes me feel closer to it somehow.”
