Heidi Harrington

Heidi Harrington makes screen printed ceramics inspired by nature, journeys and photographic details she gathers of fleeting moments observed in the world around her.

Each piece begins with a wet clay print from her own imagery, which is then stretched and formed into and over moulds. Sometimes the image is printed directly onto the three dimensional pieces. Layers are added giving a history of the making process in the surfaces; glazes are added to bring atmosphere, like the weather. Her work includes sets of vases, containers and wall pieces, which are all visual descriptions of process, place and experience.

Heidi Harrington graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2007 with a Masters degree in Ceramics and Glass and has continued to develop and exhibit her work in the UK and internationally since
