Terms & Conditions
All prices on The Byre website are in Pounds Sterling and online payment is made via Paypal – you don’t require a Paypal account to use this. However if you would like to pay by cheque or make a BACS transfer please call Elaine Dye at The Byre on 07711 873796 or 01752 822936 before placing your order; please note items purchased this way will not be dispatched until the payment has cleared.
To be eligible to purchase goods or services from The Byre website, you must:
- be 18 years of age or over; and
- give your real name, address, phone number, email address and any other details requested.
If you are under 18, please ask an adult to contract on your behalf.
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
Every effort is made to keep information regarding availability on The Byre website up to date. However, we do not guarantee that this is the case, or that stock will always be available.
If any goods ordered are shown to be in stock but are not available, you will be notified by email and you will have the option either to wait until the item is available or to cancel your order. It is your responsibility to provide us with a valid email address so that we can contact you if necessary.
Please remember that each of the items available to purchase from The Byre website is handmade and therefore unique. As such the product may vary slightly from the image shown on the website and all product descriptions are approximate.
Please note that items in your shopping basket are not reserved until payment has been taken and up until that point may be purchased by other customers.
Returns and Cancellations
We hope you are happy with your purchase. However If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, you can return it to us and we will refund you the amount you paid for that item. All that we ask is that you email or telephone within seven days of receiving the order and return it within 21 days.. The cost of the item will be fully refunded but return costs (e.g. postage and packing) will be the responsibility of the customer. Please note that any products that have been soiled through use are not accepted for return.
When returning products, please for your own protection, obtain a proof of postage as returned goods that are lost in shipping remain the customer’s responsibility.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY GOODS
You must examine goods on arrival and, if delivered by a courier who requires a signature, before signing for them.
We will refund the full purchase price on any item which is delivered in a damaged or faulty condition. Alternatively, should you prefer, we will replace the item with the same or a similar product (subject to availability).
If a product is damaged or faulty, please contact us at once and no later than seven days of receipt, or of the fault developing, and we will arrange a refund or replacement as you request.
If you request a replacement, we will do our best to offer you a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. If you are not happy with the replacement, you can return it in accordance with our returns policy as outlined above.
Please allow 21 days from receipt by us of your item for your refund to be processed or replacement item dispatched.
We reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund/replacement item in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear. This does not affect your statutory rights.
