Phil Atkin of Pewter Sky  is inspired by the coast; his pewter homewares are hand cast from shells he finds on beach combing trips in Cornwall – where he lives –  and also in New England and the Mediterranean.

Phil carefully selects each shell for its unique qualities and using a low-tech and traditional pewter casting process he turns the shells into works of art. For each piece Phil hand pours molten pewter into handmade rubber moulds. The piece is then finished by hand and polished to a warm lustrous glow.

They are food-safe and easy to care for simply wash in warm soapy water, or to renew sparkle, rub with brasso first.

Phil Atkin’s pewter salt and pepper sets are highly desirable and add an elegant touch of the seashore to any dining table.
