Monday was still summer but this morning definitely feels like autumn. We’re surrounded by beautiful coastline here @thebyregallery and it was such a treat to enjoy it, and the last days of summer, earlier this week. Our summer exhibition- ‘A Change of Scene’ continues in the gallery and online until the end of the month then we have some online autumnal treats - including some coastal views captured by @jillhudsonart. Picture Perfect. Captured beautifully by @jillhudsonart - this was one of the views I enjoyed yesterday waking the coast path on the Rame Peninsula. ‘Towards Penlee Point’ was painted mainly en plein air, and Jill brilliantly captures the colours as well the sense of the landscape, I love it. It was fantastic to do the whole circular walk from Cawsand for the first time this year - sadly without our four legged friend as it’s now too far for Colin’s legs. But he was needed to help, or perhaps hinder, the ever resourceful @emilyoliviatapp to run the gallery. I’m back on duty today and all weekend as our summer exhibition continues. Happy Friday everyone.

Whatever the weather, I never tire of the view of Rame Head, we’re so lucky it’s on our doorstep. It’s been a favourite walk since Colin was a puppy and although he can’t manage up to the top anymore I know how much he enjoys the quality sniffing opportunities - rabbits, deer, pheasants... We’re having a day off today but you can still visit us online, link in bio, back in the gallery tomorrow. Happy Tuesday 😊

Sunshine and shadows on stunning ceramics by @michelebiancostudio. After such a grey and drizzly day yesterday, we finally had sunshine for just long enough to snap this photo. This is the first time Michele has shown her beautiful work in the south west of England and she’s won many fans. A zing of colour to start the day. I love glass by @blintell at any time but when the sun hits it magic really does happen. This gorgeous ‘buckled’ vessel is part of our summer exhibition, in the gallery and online until 20th September.
