Everything in the Garden is Lovely

12th April - 1st June 2014

Everything in the Garden is Lovely continues the concept of exhibiting craft in the suggestion of a domestic setting - but this time alfresco. Many of the makers whose work features in Everything in the Garden is Lovely draw their inspiration from the landscape in which they live and work: from Ruth Shelley’s stunning glass vessels which capture the hues of her native Wales, through Caroline Finlay’s elegant jewellery which reflects the east coast of Scotland, to Claire Brewster’s delicate paper sculptures inspired by the urban environment. Acclaimed Cornwall based silversmith Abigail Brown exhibits at The Byre for the first time with her stunning copper vases and delicate silver jewellery. Also showing for the first time are metalsmith Stephanie Hopkins and Devon-based ceramicist Pauline Lee.
