Pastures New

Spring is the air at The Byre as the new season and the beautiful rural landscape surrounding the gallery inspire the first exhibition for 2016 and a host of exciting new work.

Perfectly capturing the essence of spring and its vibrant colours are artist Gillian Adair McFarland, paper sculptor Suzanne Breakwell, glass artist Catriona R. MacKenzie and jeweller Louise Richards who are all exhibiting at The Byre for the first time. Plymouth College of Art undergraduate Ellen Woods’ stunning new ceramics inspired by the theme of Pastures New and Jane Crisp’s elegant steam bent trugs are also sure to be highlights of the exhibition.

Making a welcome return to The Byre with new work for Pastures New are ceramicists Paul Cardew, Jill Holland, Remon Jephcott and Pauline Lee; glass artists Charlotte Sale and Ruth Shelley; and jewellers Tracey Falvey, Anna Pope and Bethany Robinson.
