Her affection for clay was re-kindled in 2003, and since moving to Cornwall in 2007 she has developed her practice, creating her own pottery studio in 2019.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eAnthea finds inspiration for her hand built work in the Cornish landscape:\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“I feel at home in nature and ideas for new pieces are conceived during walks along the Cornwall coastline close to my studio.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eI like to create calming, contemporary ceramics which reflect this rugged coastal environment. Through this ritual the paint evolves into constructed landscapes which seem to exist outside of a specific history and offer ambivalent versions of our world. The stones are always in focus and her pieces feature everything from the humble Cornish beach pebble, through precious and semi-precious gemstones, to diamonds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCarin's work is created using recycled sterling silver with the occasional gold accent.
