The Byre’s summer exhibition, Out of the Picture opens on 16th July.  Ceramics are centre stage for this exhibition and acclaimed ceramicists showing their work at The Byre for the first time include Lucy Burley, Kathryn Hearn and Loraine Rutt each of whom create very individual elegant pieces; and Chris Taylor, whose highly desirable vessels were a huge hit at The Byre last year, makes a welcome return with new work. Also featured in Out of the Picture are The Byre’s regular ceramicists including Paul Cardew, Jill Holland, Remon Jephcott and Hugh Maitland Perry.

In addition to this wealth of pottery there are wonderful glass pieces by James Lethbridge, Charlotte Sale and Ruth Shelley, as well as sumptuous cushions and silk scarves by Annabel Hill. Jewellery abounds too – there is exciting new work from jewellery designers showing at The Byre for the first time, including Corrinne Eira Evans and Lucy Spink; and returning with new work for Out of the Picture are Ellis Mhairi Cameron, Tracey Falvey, Anna Pope and Bethany Robinson.
