Easter wishes from The Byre

Taste, our new exhibition for spring is now open - and we're open all Easter weekend. The gallery is full of stunning pieces to bring spring freshness into your life. Jill Hudson's paintings and Sarah Morris' woodcut prints sing from the walls with their vibrant colours; and glass from Cat Mackenzie and Ruth Shelley seem to perfectly capture the hues of early spring. Byre regular Jill Holland has created a new collection of stunning ceramic bowls and vessels - after a few years of concentrating on the miniature it is fantastic to see Jill return to larger pieces, and these are wonderful examples of her talent for both form and colour. Jewellery fans shouldn't delay a visit as beautiful work from makers new to The Byre - Amy Stringer and Libby Ward - are flying out the door; so too are pieces from regulars Lisa Henshall and Lucy Spink. Earrings are a much healthier Easter treat than a chocolate egg!
